FAITH – AN ENABLER OF BREAKING LIMITATIONS

We introduced that Faith working together with the Holy Spirit are great enablers of Believers to Break Limitations of all kinds in life. To apply Faith in breaking limitations; it must be expressed by the individual in actions; in speech and in conduct or behaviour in all what you do in facing the prevailing reality. Scriptures are very clear that faith is not denying the facts. What I am explaining here can only be understood by considering the example of Abraham, a man who lived in this world like you. God had promised Abraham severally that he will become a father of a great nation (Genesis 12:2), with his offsprings being like the stars of the heavens. However, years passed, unbelief overtook Sarah his wife; who convinced the husband to consider the house help as a viable route and source of help (Genesis 16:2). But God insisted on Abraham to break the limitation of unbelief! Abraham did not deny the prevailing fact that his body and the womb of Sarah were as good as dead (Romans 4:19). The fact was Abraham had no child despite the promises of God! Abraham had to start believing (building Faith in) what God said and not the prevailing circumstances. Abraham believed (developed Faith) that God who gives life to the dead and speaks of nonexistent things as if they already existed (Gen. 17:5; Romans 4:17). That is why Abraham was credited righteousness for he broke the limitation of unbelief evidenced by old age.

Please note that, Faith recognizes the existence of the problem or difficult issue; and then Faith presents the problem to God, acknowledging God in the face of the problem; and declaring God’s truth and promise to be Greater than the problem without wavering! I repeat that Faith does not deny that the problem (sickness, financial need, poverty, joblessness, sin, defeat, discouragement, loneliness, conflict, etc.) exist! Faith declares the ability of God to deal with the situation according to His Word! As Jehovah your healer! Jehovah your provider! The Lord your forgiver and cleanser! The Lord your Banner of Victory! The Lord who prospers you! The Lord who enables you to make wealth! Your comforter! etc. I do not know the limitations you have faced this far and for how long they have lingered! Their existence is a fact; but you must speak faith! Act faith! And conduct yourself in faith!
