OH LORD MY GOD, OPEN UP MY EYES!!

Every year, our Spiritual Fathers provides us with the Prophetic Word! It is what you and I do with it that brings the difference! The year ended was the Year of Taking New Territories! In this New Year (2026) which is just four (4) days old, we have another Prophetic word! King Jehoshaphat persuaded the people of Judah saying, “Hear me, oh Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem! BELIEVE in the Lord your God and you shall be established; BELIEVE and REMAIN STEADFAST to His Prophets and you shall prosper!” (2 Chron. 20:20). The Lord your God and His Prophets in CCI declares that, it is The Year of Breaking Limitations!! Which is drawn from Philippians 4:13. The truth manifested that you and me can do all things through Christ empowerment! You and me have inherent strength to do all things empowered by Christ Jesus our Saviour and Lord irrespective of the circumstances that surrounds us!!
Why do I start the year’s bulletin by the message of an outcry… “Open up my eyes oh Lord my God?” In Biblical terms, Limitations refers to barriers hindering human potential, arising from man’s finite nature, sin, fear and lack of faith etc. The barriers may be spiritual, physical, mental, social environmental etc… and the God desires that all barriers no matter what they are be broken to allow release of all the Potential in you!!
Apostle Paul realized that the problem with the brethren of Ephesus was their failure to SEE, and therefore prayed for them! “I do not stop to pray that the EYES of your understanding be enlightened (opened), that you may KNOW (Identify)…” Ephes. 1:16–23. Again in Genesis 21:19 the Bible says, that GOD OPENED THE EYES of Hagar and SHE SAW A WELL….. Just where she was!!
Do you see the importance of this cry – Oh Lord my God, Open my Eyes? There is dire need for you and me to PERCIEVE what has been our (my) Limitations or barriers in life; hindering accomplishment of the Divine Purpose with a call to work on them until they are rendered null and void (annihilated completely)! How? God has offered Power to overcome them; transforming our human weakness to Divine Strength through Faith in Jesus Christ despite the prevailing circumstances. In other words God’s Sufficiency is manifested in our insufficiency through Christ who breaks all yokes of limitations! Therefore, since our “do all things” is NOT IN SELF ABILITIES BUT IN CHRIST EMPOWERMENT, 2026 calls for us to total surrender, trust, faith, dependency and reliance in God alone like NEVER BEFORE!! … Oh Lord open the eyes of your people!!!
