THE MIRACULOUS POWER IN THANKSGIVING
We are in the season of commemorating the birth of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. Whereas a child was born by the virgin Mary, the Son of God who existed before the creation of the world was given to us (Isaiah 9:6; John 3:16).
We have a reason to Worship and Thank God because over 2,000 years ago, the prophecy made by Prophet Isaiah (among others) was fulfilled (Math. 1:22-23); “Behold the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His Name Emmanuel – which, when translated, means God with us” (Isa. 7:14). We were indeed the people that were living in darkness, without God and having not received mercy 91 Peter 2:10. But when the Light of the world (Jesus) came (John 1:9), the Light shone upon our lives, and we received the illumination (like the moon from the sun) and we all (believers in Christ) became the light of the world too (Math. 5:14)! What a privilege and honour! From darkness to being source of light to this wicked and perverse generation! For sure we have a reason to worship and thank God.
Without doubt, Jesus reached out to the world in the most humble way. He chose to be born in a manger (Luke 2:12). Consequently, He was able to identify with the lowly and the mighty in the world despite being the King of Kings (the Government being upon His shoulders (Isa. 9:6). He chose that avenue of becoming a human being (God incarnate) and to dwell among men. For sure we have a High Priest that is able to empathize with us when we go through this pilgrimage journey because He knows and understands what it means to face various challenges in this world (Heb. 4:15) – to be hungry, thirsty, tempted, without shelter, naked, ridiculed, hated, mocked, beaten and sometimes heaven seeming silent. No matter what you went through in 2025, you have a reason to end the year with worship and thanksgiving because you have not been alone! This will definitely thrust you to Finish 2025 Strong! Through it all, you have been more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Have yourself a thankful Merry Christmas, 2025
